As well as searching the PDF, CSM provides tools for maintaining and searching an additional database composed of the user's own patterns. Adding materials to this User Database is achieved from within the program using a simple 'Wizard'. Users with Crystallographica 1.51 or later have an option to add the current structure directly to the User Database. Materials held in the User Database are treated in the same way as those stored in the PDF. Pseudo-PDF cards and powder patterns may be displayed by mouse clicks, and the user cards are also included in the Boolean card retrieval and search-match processes. It is also possible to limit both of these processes to the User Database alone. |
