System requirements

CSM requires a PC running Windows 95, 98, ME, NT 4 or better, 2000 or XP. A 200 MHz machine with 64 Mb of memory is recommended, although the program will function on a lower specification computer. CSM's on-line help system uses components from the Microsoft Internet Explorer. If you do not have this installed on your machine you may install the required components from the CSM installation CD. The installation occupies approximately 5 Mb of disk space, and a further 50 Mb are required for index files.

Powder Diffraction File

CSM requires one of the International Centre for Diffraction Data's PDF databases. CSM-3 is fully compatible with both the old format PDF-2 and the new RDB format databases PDF-2 Release 2005, PDF-4 and PDF-4+.
